Vado a Firenze

Hello peeps,

So I guess I’m officially going to Florence next semester. Just have to get the visa and everything else done. Moving out is going to be such a pain. By the time I leave NYC, it will have been 1 1/2 years that I’ve been living here. Feels like home… And the truth is I feel much at home interacting with Americans now. It took a lot of observances and effort, but I’ve made it very far from where I first started.

With all the recruiting events going on campus, I see a lot of my Asian friends clambering for the financial job opportunities in Asia. And I just…. never wanna go back there. Yeah Asia is growing.. it’s the  next big thing blablabla. But a lot of the Asians from Asia bore me. Just something doesn’t click somehow. Just something doesn’t work for me. Not to say I feel 100% completely comfortable working in the States or anywhere else. But I just feel really adverse about going back to Asia. Be it the memories, the people, the mentality, I dunno. Or perhaps just the fact that I never feel as free.

The truth is with freedom comes choices. And I’ve made a lot of interesting choices over the past year. For good or for bad, it’s all good because only thinking makes them such. Whatever gets you through the day, makes you feel alive, makes life more interesting, so you wanna stay at least one more day on earth before you die.

The Birth of A Blog

I really don’t know why I still keep this blog around. The idea of personal blogging with no intent of making money or driving traffic seems a little outdated to me. Because really, who wants to read your blog? 7 or 8 years ago almost every teen had a blog. Why? My guess is just so you could say you had a blog.

But now every time I look at blogs, I’m freaking thinking of SEO.

I started this blog with the sole purpose of updating a specific group of people about my experiences and thoughts. Because I’m just not very good at keeping up with and updating them on my life. Especially since going abroad. But there are just so many things I cannot write down and I cannot publicly say even to a private group. Some things are still meant to either be said in-person, or to never even begin to leave your lips.

There is so much more value of blogging to businesses or people trying to get their name out there. I don’t want anybody to read this so this blog is of minimal value to me.

But… to those of you curious what I’ve been into lately. It is SEO indeed.
